Here is a little story most of us haven’t heard about since the national main stream media won’t cover it.
On October 2nd, 2013 Congressman Roger Williams of Texas was the subject of a hate crime. According to an article on KXAN the Congressman’s office door in Austin was covered in Anti-Tea Party flyers:
AUSTIN (KXAN) – Posters targeting the tea party with offensive slogans were taped to the door of Republican U.S. Rep. Roger Williams’ North Texas congressional district office before the staff arrived at work Wednesday.
A news release from the freshman lawmaker whose district stretches from the Austin area to Fort Worth called the action “an anti-Republican hate crime.” The printed posters targeted the government shutdown and carried the message “We’ve had enough tea, thanks,” and also contained handwritten messages.
“It’s time for your recall,” said one (see second photo). “You represent us, not your party,” another said. Other messages were far less polite. Tea bags were also hung from the door jamb and door handle at the Cleburne office. Williams called them “shameful displays.”
According to the video on the KXAN website other messages were left on the Congressman’s door one of which called him (among other things) an “Anti-American Racist”. (See video here)
If this had been a Congressional Democrat’s office covered in Anti-Communist flyers it would have been national news and touted as just another example of Tea Party “Extremism”. But since this incident involved insulting Tea Partiers it seems the lame stream media feels it’s not news worthy.
That my friends is the epitome of a double standard which sadly is par for the course in this progressively run America full of “Hope and Change”. Of course those words only apply if you fit the progressive’s idea of what is ‘acceptable’. As we have discovered to our chagrin, standing up for Liberty and fiscal responsibility in the land of the ‘Free’ is unacceptable in Obama’s progressive hell we still call… the United States of America.
