Every morning I wake up brings more proof that Obamacare was indeed designed to mirror Canada’s transition from private insurance to a Communist inspired single payer healthcare system. It does so by expanding coverage of Medicaid and making it easier for individuals to sign up for Government run / funded healthcare such as Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP and by qualifying individuals for Government subsidies to buy “private” health insurance. While doing all of the above it also takes actions to ensure that private health insurance becomes unaffordable by mandating it covers ridiculous things such as maternity care for men.
So far this Marxist formula which has put us on the road to single payer has worked in many states such as Washington and Connecticut. Today brings news that it is also working in Kentucky.
According to an article on WDRB.com, 82% of Obamacare applicants have signed up for Medicaid:
Nearly 48,000 people have signed up for healthcare through the Kentucky insurance exchange.
The state-run database, Kynect, allows people to shop for health insurance and apply for subsidies.
According to the state website, 82% of the enrollment has been for Medicaid coverage.
Critics say the high number of Medicaid enrollees shows that the Affordable Care Act is simply becoming a Medicaid expansion. Unless that number shrinks, they say, the program could experience funding issues.
This critic would say that if we continue down this road to Single Payer the country is going to have more to worry about than some funding issue… future generations are going to experience an issue over a huge lack…… of Liberty.
