After spending almost 6 years following the movements of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and noticing a collaborative trend between the CPUSA and the Democratic Party, nothing surprises me anymore.
According to an article on the CPUSA News, People’s World, Zakiyah Ansari, a member of New York City Mayor Bill de-Blasio’s transition team, received an award at the CPUSA Christmas fund raiser in New York City in December:
Joelle Fishman, host of the event and chair of CPUSA’s Political Action Commission, introduced the honorees. “I am very honored and excited to be here today at the Better World Awards to share your celebration of the great election victory in New York that has captured the attention of the entire country,” said Fishman. “This election is a victory over racism. It is a victory over stop and frisk. It is a victory over 20 years of direct Wall St. rule. But it is only a beginning. To realize the possibilities, everyone here has an important part to play going forward.”
She then proceed to introduce and deliver the awards to Raglan George, Zakiyah Ansari and Lethy Liriano and the lifetime achievement award to Vinie Burrows and Ellen Perlo …
… From humble beginnings to advocacy director with the New York State Alliance for Quality Education, to member of the new mayor of New York City, Bill de-Blasio’s transition team. Zakiyah Ansari, BWA honoree, told an extraordinary story of awareness and accomplishment.
Zakiyah was one of two New York City Coalition for Educational Justice parent leaders appointed to the City Council Task Force on Middle Schools. The Task Force led to recommendations adopted by the NYC Department of Education and the Campaign for Middle School Success. As a result, more than $30 million has gone to some of the lowest-performing middle grade schools to support school improvement efforts.

As the picture on the left demonstrates, Bill de-Blasio has had a long history of working with Zakiyah Ansari on issues of public education.
What I would be curious to know is if Mrs. Ansari and Mayor de-Blasio support the Young Communist League’s (The CPUSA Youth Organization) belief that violent revolution is an option in order to push the Communist / Progressive agenda? (Not to mention the billions of people that Communism has murdered since its conception, but that’s another article.)
While I may never learn the answer to those questions I think it’s safe to assume that Mrs. Ansari’s appearance at the Communist fund raiser signals that the Progressive movement and the Mayor in New York City are more than happy to openly embrace their brethren, the Communists, violent revolution (Or mass murder) or not.
Which sadly sends a chilling signal to any Liberty loving Americans left in New York that with yet another Progressive Mayor in office any hope of real Freedom has evaporated and the oppressive, totalitarian boot of the Progressive movement will continue its strangle hold on the throat of The Big Apple.
Ironically this is just an example of voters ending up with the kind of Government they deserve… and voted for.. so maybe it’s time we change the NYC flag to this:
Nah… never happen.. that would just be too blatantly honest… for the Progressives.
